How scoring works
Your microphone captures your voice in real-time. We use autocorrelation-based pitch detection to estimate the fundamental frequency of each sung note, then compare it against a pre-extracted vocal melody contour (generated via pYIN analysis of the original track). Pitch accuracy is graded per-syllable using cent deviation from the target MIDI note. Timing is measured by vocal presence within each lyric window. No audio is recorded, stored, or transmitted — all processing happens locally in your browser.
